We Pronounced Rihanna’s Name Wrongly For 10 Years

Barbadian princess, Rihanna kept her name on our lips for 10 years now. While we’ve been listening to every song the singer has sung since she first came into our lives with her 2005 debut, Music of the Sun, we may not have been listening carefully to every word the Only Girl In The World crooner have been saying.
Apparently we’ve been screaming Rihanna’s name — but at least not pronouncing the way that she does. Most of us say “Ree-Ah-na”.
On Sunday, RiRi posted an Instagram video to announce that she’d just joined Snapchat and urged fans to follow her: “Rihanna, follow me!” she said, only she pronounced it “Ree-Anna.”
