Woman Sentenced To 70 Years Imprisonment For Stealing Christmas Decorations

This woman is so busted and i’m sure she is regretting her actions now after being given 70-years to reflect on her act….oops…she will be out when she turns 113 years of age.
According to Daily Mail,
A Texan woman dubbed the real-life Mrs Grinch because she stole Christmas lights has been sentenced to 70 years in prison. Dana Brock, 43, was arrested last December after she was caught on surveillance video stealing lights from outside a family’s home in Aledo while they were sleeping.
She was arrested again in May after she stole a weed killer and a power washer from another person’s garage. Brock shook her head as the judge read her 70-year sentence.
‘It appears that she was committing these offences and then contracting with others to hang these stolen lights,’ Parker County sheriff Larry Fowler told the Star-Telegram.
‘They said she strung lights and then they heard about her arrest and said, “Uh-oh, maybe these lights on our home are stolen.” The biggest crack in the case came when surveillance footage from a home in Aledo captured a clear shot of Brock’s face.
The video obtained by the local CBS affiliate shows the middle-aged blonde woman approaching the door of the Starnes family home just after 3am on December 7.
She walks confidently to the front door and removes the festive wreath before walking quickly back to her car and driving off with her new decoration.
The wreath must not have completed her own winter display, as she came back a week later to take home two strings of twinkle lights from the Starnes’ driveway.
‘I think it’s scary that a grown woman would feel the need to do that,’ Ashley Starnes said. ‘That she would walk up to the front door and take something – it scared me for my kids.’
Stolen laptops were found in her Aledo home and she was charged with theft of property between $50 and $500.
She has a number of previous convictions including an assault charge against a family member which has a pending January court date.
She has also spent time in prison for solicitation of murder and two assault with bodily injury convictions.
