In an interview with PUNCH, rapper, Mode9, said he was quitting the social media, Twitter,
at least for the next two weeks. The rapper stated that he had had
enough of the nonsense that people said on the social media and also
needed time to work on his new album, AGL.
The rapper, who has a new single out, No be ashewo, stated
that the inspiration for the new single came to him when he was at a
club trying to pick up a lady. He said his commercial song with Don
Jazzy got a lot of airplay, as expected, and he got good reviews also.
“The song I sang with Don Jazzy did
well as expected. It is not like I have not done such songs before. I
thank God for it though. My new song, No be Ashawo, is about a
club girl. The type you think is a runs girl but is not. She is just a
fun loving girl. The song has an easy melody and a good chorus. I got
inspired when I was in the club checking out girls I tried to figure
out which ones were real girls and which were runs girls. That was when
the idea of the track hit me. I am taking at least two weeks break from
Twitter, I have to finish my album, AGL,” the rapper said.
