Popular actress and movie producer, Funke Akindele (Jenifa) has been
appointed a Polio Ambassador by the Rotary Club nternational. Jenifa
will help Rotary achieve its goal of a polio-free world in a new public
awareness campaign called "this close" by raising her thumb and
forefinger in the "this
close"gesture in the ad tagline "we're this close to ending polio".

With her recent appointment as polio ambassador, Funke Akindele joins the likes of Bill Gates, Nobel Peace Laureate Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu, action movie star Jackie Chan, Pop star PSY , Dan Maraya Jos and Sanni Danjer.
