Reminisce is a name associated with bringing Yoruba Rap’ into the mainstream, especially after the success of singles like “Kako bi Chicken” and “2Mussh”.
In the latter song, the rapper mentioned popular Nigerians living in Malaysia, Opa 6ix and H-Money known for their lavish lifestyles. “Shout out si awon omo ni Malay, wire wire/Opa6ix, Fabio Osha ijaya jaya”
When asked about why he referenced them in his song, Reminisce said, “They’re my fans, Reminisce fans. I shout out a lot of people. As you might have noticed my music is evolving. My new music has that Fuji vibe. In Fuji, there’s a lot of greeting, KWAM1 Pasuma. So I was shouting them out. They love music.”
The rapper is currently working on his next music project ‘Alaga Ibile’ which means ‘Local Chairman’. His latest single “Fantasy” is off the upcoming music project.
